Fixed Income Traders

HTG Capital Partners (New York and Chicago) is currently accepting resumes for experienced electronic fixed income traders and trading partners.

We are searching for decisive and self-motivated traders with a strong fixed income skill set (analytics and modeling) and a 2+ years of experience with track records in bond basis, repo, and yield curve trading. We are looking for traders with the ability to manage complex transactions from idea generation and documentation through to pricing and execution; someone who can quantify fair market values within sectors and identify opportunities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing his or her own risk book and have an interest in expanding an existing business. We are looking for a candidate with keen attention to detail and excellent computer, programming, and mathematics skills. Quantitative Analyst

HTG Capital Partners is looking for an experienced quantitative developer in the high-frequency space to join our expanding group.

The work will include all aspects of complex software development and design to support futures trading. The right applicant should have strong C++ programming skills, equities or futures high-frequency modeling experience and exceptional problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a preferred background in energy and power (oil, gas, nat. gas, electricity, etc). The successful candidate will work with our team validating models and creating new models for trading heads.

Applicant must have 2+ years of experience in financial industry and must possess a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or another technical discipline.Applicant must demonstrate very strong C/C++ programming skills and development experience from within a leading market-making franchise. Working knowledge of financial derivatives is a plus, but not required.

Junior Trader Candidate

We are currently looking to hire recent college graduates that have an interest in pursuing a career in futures trading.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in mathematics, with an emphasis in programming and/or quantitative analysis, be a quick thinker and decisive. Once hired, the candidate will be assigned to a profit center under the supervision and guidance of a senior trader to learn our electronic trading methodologies. After 3-6 months, it is expected that the candidate will have a solid understanding of our trading system and be able to trade on their own with minimal supervision. Candidates that excel will be given the opportunity, with the senior trader to start-up a profit center in new markets and products. Instruction will be ongoing and always available, but the most successful candidates will quickly assume responsibility for their own actions and show the greatest initiative. The candidate will be trading firm capital. Compensation consists of salary and discretionary bonus dependent upon performance.
